You don't have to use traditional colors and decor to decorate your Thanksgiving table...have fun with your tablescape!

Traditionally, a Thanksgiving table setting starts out with a vintage tablecloth that has been handed down from Grandmother, to mother and now to you, or you have a tablecloth you have been using for years with pumpkins, leaves or turkeys on it.  Change it up this year, and use a table runner and cloth napkins.  Or find a fun vintage tablecloth that is normally used in the summer but has some fall colors such as golden yellows, and oranges and make your festive dinner gathering a  fun and bright experience!

Center Arrangements are a must, but think outside the box.  I love using unique vases, lots of candlesticks with candles, votive holders and "character" pieces that bring the theme alive.  You can always add fresh flowers, autumn leaves, pumpkins and/or fruit to the table as well...there are so many awesome turkey figurines that can also be added.

Never be afraid to mix your metals...this untraditional table I decided to bring in blues, and using earthy textures such as the flax colored linen runner with embroidered pattern and natural linen lumbar pillows, contrasts nicely with the cooler color of blues/greys.  Love pairing these Vintage pewter candlesticks to highlight the blues, but also adding the earthy green and gold of the natural oak leaf votive candle holders.  The handcrafted ceramic pumpkins in blue, creams and bronze along with the more neutral fall foliage harmonize beautifully with the bold blue of the dinnerware!  Add a little whimsy with themed dessert plates such as these simply elegant white pumpkin plates with gold accents.

Linen embroidered table runner can be used all year round.

Linen and burlap lumber pillows and subtle texture to the seating.

The blue is a wonderful compliment to the warm colors of fall and adds a calming effect to the holiday hustle and bustle.

Brighten up your Thanksgiving table and use an "out of season" tablecloth such as this cheery summer tablecloth with bright yellows, oranges and rosy reds.  These white pumpkins are great to start the centerpiece scape, add a rustic wood candlestick accompanied by a bright yellow/orange candle adds depth and warmth, and just adding a few fall foliage pieces ties it all together.  Unique wine bucket adds whimsey and charm, along with colorful water/wine carafe.  Don't forget to bring some color to the table with lumbar pillows on your seating.  I love to incorporate themed dishes into my table-scapes as well!  Either salad or appetizer plates or dessert plates.  Love these white pumpkin with embossed sunflowers!

Let your imagination go Wild Turkey this Thanksgiving!
