Cherry Bolgeo, a mixed-media artist, has lived in Fairview for 25 years. She is originally from Nashville and Brentwood, TN. Cherry is a retired teacher with 32 years of experience. She is currently an online ESL teacher. She has three children and 9 grandchildren, as well as a variety of pets. Cherry discovered the joy of crafting at a young age and was always exploring new challenges. Her love for clay began after she made clay handles for her crochet hooks. Cherry is known for her clay creations, such as jewelry, keychains, trinket trays, bookmarks, and games. Her work often explores themes of nature, seasons, holidays, and sports. She uses a combination of polymer clay, paint, beads, chalk pastels, glitter, liquid clay, powdered pigments, and alcohol inks. A wide range of techniques is used, such as caning, faux finishes, marbling, and inclusions, just to name a few. Cherry’s art aims to evoke emotion and spark conversation. A few of Cherry’s grandchildren are assets to this small business, bringing their creative ideas. Cherry’s other interests include spending time with family, crochet, gardening, and crafting.
