·         STORY OF THE PLUS SIGN

I lost my best friend to cancer in 2017.  He gave me a small piece of Purple Heartwood and asked me to make something special.  We went for coffee the following week and I shared with him my plan.  Jeremy had always been a positive person in my life, he had always lifted me up.  My plan for the wood was to make small plus signs and give them to the teen missionaries I would be traveling with and I would share during a devotional what a positive friend he had been in my life; how he never complained about his cancer; how he only saw the good in people.  A few days later he passed away.  I used the Purple Heartwood to make an urn for his ashes that had a large plus sign made of his Purple Heartwood, and several small plus signs.  One month later in an orphanage in Ensenada Mexico, I shared with young missionaries the importance of surrounding yourself with positive people like my friend.  I am grateful to have had such a friend!  The plus sign on this box is a reminder always to be positive and choose positive friends in your life, friends who will stand by you and always lift you.
